Liebster Blog Award(s)

Dear people,

I think it’s time to put the mess that is my life aside for five minutes to reciprocate my very kind blogger friend (zeelikestowrite) of mine’s gesture for nominating me for Liebster Blog Award. I am flattered and honored. I didn’t believe in blogging, but now I do believe it’s helping to keep me sane (well, a little). I do feel surprised that some of you care enough to click the plus button and decide to follow me. Okay, enough with the rambling.

My answers to Z’s questions are the following.

Describe in two words what a world without WordPress would be like?

Very Different

When did you start blogging and why did you decide to start?

Last year. I meant to create A Room of My Own.

What is your favourite possession and why?

My notes. They’d tell me who I am everytime I got lost.

Which author would you most like to interview and what would be your first question?

Sylvia Plath and none. I’ll tell her that I get it and hug her.

Which book already published, would you like to have written ?

Johnny Panic and the Bible of Dreams by Sylvia Plath.

What is the most adventurous food you’ve eaten?

Baby octopus.

How often (be honest) do you check your stats on your wordpress blog?

When other bloggers respond to my posts.

Where do you do most of your writing and why?

It’s not the place, it’s the timing. Whenever I am alone.

It’s like I have this mental switch that’s automatically turned on when nobody’s around.

What is the best writing advice you’ve ever received?

Write as if you are talking to certain persons.

What was the most embarrassing moment of your life?

-i have to delete this one eventually… eeepp-

Which country would you most like to visit and why?

UK. I trace memories.

And the nominees are

wemappedoblivion.wordpress.com

ourjourneyafterhisaffair.wordpress.com

beenkissingafool.wordpress.com

sumwatwumwhere.wordpress.com

coffeewithcastro.wordpress.com

seleyna.wordpress.com

griefhappens.wordpress.com

shmah.wordpress.com

crispinthefall.wordpress.com

hakimadaya.wordpress.com

freedomheartz.wordpress.com

My questions for the nominees:

1. Why do you write in the first place?

2. What do you think about life writing?

3. How significant is blogging in your life?

If you would like to accept, simply post a reply to my questions (I only have three), show off the Liebster Award logo on your site and link back to me. You may pass this on and nominate eleven new blogs you think deserve more readers and invent eleven questions for them. Let’s get this thing around.

Cheers!

  1. 1. I write because the words have to come out.
    2. If it’s worth living, it’s worth writing about. It’s reality tv in book form.
    3. The days that I have the time to blog, are good days. There’s a freedom of sorts when getting all those words on paper. I live to write and I write to live.

  2. 1. Why do you write in the first place?
I see a lot of struggle in the world, and few who are able to overcome. I genuinely love humanity and I can’t stand to see people desperate for help and unable find comfort. I write because I want those who feel the way I do to know that they aren’t alone by any means. I write because I want to share what I’ve learned with those who need it. I write because I want to give others hope. I write because it’s my duty.

    2. What do you think about life writing?
I think it’s the best way to inspire and motivate others. It’s a beautiful learning experience to be able to look at someone else’s life and realize that you either want or don’t want to take the same kind of path. It brings you a little closer to awareness of your true “self.”

    3. How significant is blogging in your life?
Blogging is my creative outlet. It’s not a profession, just more of a hobby. I think this way, I can focus on writing only things that are truly important instead of feeling pressured to produce more work that isn’t the quality or depth that I’d like. I used to write in high school for academic competitions, and I was always confined to certain specific topics, then I decided I wanted to write what was on my heart, and I hope that someday my words can bring comfort or healing to someone.
